Banana Split proudly opened its doors on February 11, 1983, and has since become a beloved seasonal destination for ice cream lovers. Our charming soft serve ice cream shop, featuring convenient walk-up service, is located at 820 Church Road in Aurora, right across from Garfield Park.
We are delighted to serve our community daily from mid-February through October, ensuring you have a delicious treat during the warmer months. Our menu features the classic flavors of Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry soft serve ice cream, which can be enjoyed in a variety of tempting creations designed to satisfy every sweet tooth.
Our signature offering is the traditional banana split, crafted the old-fashioned way to deliver a taste of nostalgia. We offer this delightful dessert in three sizes to fit your appetite: small, regular, and the indulgent “Groaner,” perfect for sharing (or not!).
Just a stone's throw away, Garfield Park encompasses 28 scenic acres of recreational space, complete with two Little League fields (Dolan & Andrews), horseshoe courts, a well-equipped playground, a basketball court, tennis courts, and an inviting picnic pavilion. The park's expansive grassy areas serve as the perfect backdrop for a day of fun and relaxation, making it an ideal spot to enjoy your ice cream from Banana Split.
